Growing up on a strict diet of watching classic mexican-boxing greats like Eric Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, Johnny Tapia, Julio Cesar Chavez Senior, to then being introduced to the original mixed martial arts pioneers of the early UFC and Pride days like Royce Gracie, The Noguiera Brothers, Shogun Hua and others, the Northern California native, JOSE AGUAYO has been inspired on a martial arts journey that started in the San Ramon and Livermore area, and has lead him to the heart of Stockton training with MMA legends Nick and Nate Diaz at the famed Nick Diaz Academy. His path has taken him to professional boxing and world class jiu jitsu competitions, all while building a formidable record in mixed martial arts of 6 wins and only 2 losses, his 2 losses both at the hands of UFC veterans, one of which was a split decision and the other against current UFC bantamweight title contender on 7 days notice. Since then, Aguayo is on a four fight win streak and has captured the lightweight title championship belt in the North Iowa fight league. He now has his sights set on the big stage and bright lights of the Professional Fight League, where he finds an opportunity to fight on the newly minted PFL challengers series. Aguayo brings his relentless pace and gas tank to the backlots of Universal Studios in Orlando Florida for the next big test of his MMA career.
